Spring Ministries

Dear Church Family,

As we enter the Spring season, we are preparing for one of our busiest times of ministry. We are in the initial stages of our DC partnership and are excited about all the opportunities for the Gospel this entails.

Please be praying for our DC Mission Team that will be on mission in Washington, DC Spring Break Week, March 21-27. Ninety individuals from fifteen of our partnering churches will be sharing the Gospel in our nation’s capital! We will be doing street evangelism, VBS and more as we partner along with two DC area churches. We are currently in need of 3,000 water bottles to take with us to Washington, DC. As we are hoping to get these donated, if you know of anyone that can help, please contact the association.

All our associational churches are invited to join us Sunday night April 12th for a special Spring Missions Gathering at FBC Cleveland starting at 6PM. Pastors, please consider joining us for this special missions event in lieu of your Sunday night service. This will be a great evening together and will feature an opportunity for you and your congregation to personally meet and hear from SEND DC Church Planters, Zack Bekele (Gilgal Ethiopian Church) and Zack Randles (Waterfront Church) and learn about our DC partnership. A portion of the service will feature a special testimony time from the DC Spring Break mission trip and a highlight video/slideshow. A dessert fellowship will follow the service. Childcare will be provided courtesy of First Baptist Church.

The next morning on Monday April 13th, we will have a special missions follow-up breakfast for pastors and staff at 8AM at the Bradley Baptist Association. This will be a great time to discuss our Washington, DC partnership and how your church can be on mission in our nation’s capital. Be sure to check out our promotional partnership video on our website, www.bradleybaptist.org.

Our VITA Tax ministry is now in full operation and will be taking appointments through until Monday April 13th. Tax returns are prepared at no charge for individuals or couples making less than $52,000 a year. While the tax returns are being prepared, those filing are presented with the wonderful news of Jesus Christ. If you or someone you know needs help on their return, please call the association for an appointment.

Please be much in prayer for our Romania mission trip this July. We will be working with one of the most persecuted people groups in Europe - the Roma people (often called Gypsies). Our partnering pastor in Romania was greatly encouraged by our team last year. We helped turn a shed into a children's ministry room that now is averaging 96 children. This children’s ministry is very important as eighty percent of Roma girls end up in human trafficking here. In addition to light construction work, we will share the Gospel with children through day camps, VBS, street evangelism and more.

These ministries and mission trips would not be possible without partners like you.
