Spring is in the Air

Dear Church Family,

Spring is almost here! CrossNet has already been involved in many ministry opportunities in 2019. Our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) ministry began January 31st and will finish April 13th. Through March 31st, volunteers have completed 252 tax returns. Please pray for the VITA volunteers as this program aims to help individuals who need the advantage of free tax return preparation and a word of hope.

Learning Community for Pastors - is continuing at the CrossNet office. This is a peer-learning environment that helps you look beyond current circumstances and discover what God is doing. The goal of these sessions is to help bring focus and revitalization to our churches and to align with His purposes. Our guest speakers have shared their wisdom and each one has challenged us in ministry. The sessions begin at 9:30am and finish at noon with a free lunch and are held the third Thursday of each month. We are continuing to develop the The Learning Community evening sessions. Please consider joining us as we learn from each other. RSVP by calling our office.

CrossNet Disaster Relief Teams in the month of March have been serving in Puerto Rico at “The Church Without Walls” main worship center. Hurricane Maria devastated the island of Puerto Rico on September 20, 2017, leaving the church without a functioning worship center. We have been blessed to see this project to completion with 99 participants from 18 local churches serving over the course of four weeks. “The Church Without Walls” will be holding Easter Services in their newly refurbished worship center. Thank you to the many volunteers involved in making the project a reality. Everyone who participated have numerous stories of The Lord’s grace and mercy as they ministered in this area.

Mark your calendar! CrossNet will be hosting “In The Wild” VBS training at Big Spring Baptist Church on April 2nd from 6:30 – 8:30. Please join area VBS coordinators and volunteers in learning, sharing and preparing for this summer’s largest ministry opportunity for children in our area. If you would like more information, please contact CrossNet. No registration is necessary.

Ocoee Outreach Summer Program, be in prayer for this vital ministry in our community as we assist the disabled by building ramps and furnishing much needed home repairs. We currently have 32 churches from all around the country coming to assist with this ministry.

In closing, be mindful that through CrossNet Baptist Network, your support and involvement reaches local, state, and international needs having a key role in reaching the world for Christ. I am thankful for your financial support and prayer support.
