On Mission

Dear Church Family,

I trust you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are looking forward to Christmas as we celebrate our Savior's birth. We truly have a lot to be thankful for in how God has blessed our churches and our association.

During Project Helping Hands, 200 families and/or individuals applied for assistance this year. About 120 volunteers from more than fifteen associational churches served as volunteers. To date we have had two salvations thus far and look forward to more good reports as we deliver gifts and food for Christmas to those in need.

We will be having an informational meeting about our upcoming mission trip to Xalapa Veracruz Mexico on Sunday December 13 at 4PM at the association. The dates for this mission trip are July 2-9, 2016. This trip is geared for student's ages 15-22 but we also need adult chaperons. Pastors, youth pastors, student pastors and anyone else who is interested should attend. The cost will be $1,400 per person and spots are available on a first come, first serve basis. Amazingly, Xalapa happens to be the hometown of one of our newest pastors, Pastor Antonio Revilla of Iglesia Cristiana de Restauracion who joined the association at our annual meeting. Pastor Antonio has graciously agreed to help prepare our mission team for this trip. Isn't' it amazing how God works? The purpose and strategy of our mission trip will be to reach the lost and gather them together in groups for discipleship and evangelism. Please visit iwc.bradleybaptist.org for more information and to register.

We also will be going to Romania June 23-July 2 of next year. This trip will be for ages 22 and over. This will be our third year in a row going to Romania to help Pastor Pop reach the Roma (also called gypsies) people. Additional information will be forthcoming.

As you know, we are currently in the first year of a three year partnership with SEND DC Church Planters, Zack Bekele (Gilgal Ethiopian Church) and Zack Randles (Waterfront Church) to provide prayer support, people support and provisional support in reaching DC with the Gospel. There will be an informational meeting about our upcoming mission trip to Washington, D.C. on January 24th, 2016. This trip will be during spring break for city and county schools, March 19-24, 2016. A $25 deposit is due at sign-up and spots will be available on a first come, first serve basis. If you have not been on a mission trip, this is a great opportunity to be on mission in our nation's capital and share the Gospel with people from all over the world.

Finally, our Bold Going Jail Ministry is still collecting stamped Christmas cards, hard-wrapped candies and socks for inmates. If you have any donations, please drop them off at the association office.
