Kingdom Focused

Dear Church Family,

On April 7th, we will have our Spring Family Homecoming and Business meeting at 6:30pm at North Cleveland Baptist Church. Our network gatherings are some of the most important times of the year for our Bradley Baptists and a great opportunity for you to see how your partnership with the Bradley Baptist Association is making a difference.

The Bradley Baptist Association has been and continues to be a great connecting point for missions, ministry and relationships for our churches and our community. We are Kingdom focused as we minister and work with each church, as well as bringing our churches together. Our Spring Associational Gathering will be a time to celebrate this and will feature Washington, DC mission trip testimonies and “Love Your City” testimonies, as well as a time of worship.

At the Spring Gathering, we will also be voting on the proposed association name change. I want to thank everyone that provided input related to renaming our association. This year-long process has involved numerous meetings with our pastors, our Ministry Development Team and Ad-hoc teams. Our most recent meeting took place on January 14th, at which time 29 BBA Pastors were present. In a spirit of unity, the outcome of this meeting resulted in a unanimous decision from our pastors to move forward with the proposed name change.

The recommendation from our Ministry Development Team and our Ad-hoc team is to rename the Bradley Baptist Association to the CrossNet Baptist Network.

We will be on mission in trip to Washington, D.C. during spring break for city and county schools, March 19-24. Please be praying for our mission team as they share the Gospel with people from all over the world in our nation's capital. Our Disaster Relief teams will also be on mission over the next few months ministering to those affected by the Flint, Michigan water crises. Please be praying for our teams and those affected by the crises.

Finally, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) ministry is still taking appointments to help file your 2015 tax return. There is no charge for this service. Please call 423-476-5493 for an appointment. While the client is waiting, we will share with them about our other ministries available for them, pray for their needs and make a Gospel presentation. We have now filed over 120 tax returns this year alone. Please be praying for this ministry.

We are grateful for the partnership we have with you and your church, and we look forward to even greater days ahead as we passionately proclaim the Gospel and mobilize people to the mission for the glory of God.

In His Grace,

Phil Taylor
