Church Profile, DC Update and "Just Business"...

As we head through September, please remember to submit your annual church profile information no later than September 18th. Many of you have picked these up at the office, now we need the information. As you wrap up your business conferences and meetings, please make sure to update the ACP.

Throughout this month, we will be participating in “Love Your City.” The idea is to get into your local communities and express practical acts of kindness, touching as many lives as possible. We will help mobilize and equip churches through the event, help coordinate and promote your plans, and provide resources for you. If you would have an idea about helping in your community, please contact Randy Bonner at the office as soon as possible.

As you make plans for Fall events, please remember the Block Party Trailer may be available to you. The availability of the Block Party Trailer can be seen under “Resources” on the CrossNet website at

Mission teams will be heading back to Washington, DC during fall break, October 3rd-13th. If you are interested in going, please contact Randy Bonner at the office as soon as possible. There will be a DC Mission Trip Meeting at Candies Creek on September 18th at 4pm.

On October 27 at 6:30pm, we will have a business session for the annual meeting. It will be at the CrossNet office at 6:30pm. This year, the usual Homecoming Celebration will be transformed into a Pastors and Staff Christmas Banquet to be held on December 1st at Candies Creek. Christian comedian and entertainer Tim Lovelace will be the special guest. Tickets will be $10 each. More information about the tickets and the dinner that evening will be forthcoming.

Finally, please welcome Mike Powers to the team. Mike has moved into David Hewitt’s former role as my assistant. Mike comes to us with a nearly 30-year radio, television and newspaper writing and producing background. He and his wife, Krisite, have three children; one is a local school teacher, one is a local middle school minister, and one is in middle school. They have lived in Bradley County for 16 years. I am looking forward to what Mike can help us do for you in the future! If you need his assistance, he is available at the office during the week and by e-mail anytime at
