Annual Church Profile Packets

Dear Church Family,

Once again it is time to prepare for our annual meeting. Our summer is winding down and your annual church profile packets are available at our office. (Pastors and/or Clerks, please pick these up at your convenience.) I know many of you will be having your business conferences starting this September. Please remember the formula for electing messengers:

Messengers shall be elected by the respective cooperating churches, according to the following formula. Each church of fifty members or less shall be entitled to three (3) messengers and one (1) additional messenger for each fifty members above the first fifty, provided no church shall be entitled to have more than ten (10) messengers.

This year we will be having only a business session for the annual meeting (We will notify you of the time and location shortly). Our usual homecoming celebration will take place during the Pastors’ and Staff Christmas Banquet this year on December 1st at Candies Creek. Comedian Tim Lovelace will be our guest.

This September we will again be participating in “Love Your City.” The idea behind Love Your City is to saturate our community with God’s love - expressed by many practical acts of kindness, to touch literally hundreds of lives. Participating churches will choose one Saturday in September 2016 to love their community through acts of kindness and servant evangelism. The goal will be to have one or more churches participating simultaneously. We will help mobilize and equip churches, coordinate and promote events and provide resources and ideas to prepare for Love Your City. Contact Randy Bonner at our office for details.

On September 9-10, we will have disaster relief training at First Baptist Cleveland. To pre-register, please call Elizabeth Holmes at (615) 371-7926 or email

On September 13 at 9AM at the CrossNet Baptist office Tim Buehner with the Baptist Convention of New England and Shaun Pillay, NAMB CPC for Rhode Island and Eastern Connecticut will be sharing about the work in New England. Tennessee will be signing a partnership covenant with New England at the TBC Summit. Please call 476-5493 to RSVP.

Finally, we be returning to Washington, DC during fall break, October 3rd-13th, for a mission trip. Please contact Randy Bonner at our office if you are interested in going or sign up at
